    Police Officer Killed in Tragic Road Crash at Kanyonyoo Junction, Kitui

    A police officer has died following a road accident at Kanyonyoo Junction in Kitui County on Sunday.

    According to eyewitnesses, the officer was riding a motorbike when he was struck by a speeding vehicle attempting to overtake between Kanyonyoo town and the exit road leading to Kitui Town. The impact threw him off the motorcycle, killing him on the spot.

    Police confirmed the incident, saying the officer’s body was moved to Kitui County Referral Hospital Funeral Home. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are underway.

    The accident adds to the growing number of road tragedies in Kitui, with residents calling for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and caution among motorists along the busy routes.
