Celebrated County FM afternoon drive in show presenter Gerald Mutisya alias Gera The Selekta has this afternoon been freed unconditionally from police custody.
The renowned journalst was arrested early today under unclear circumstances and for close to six hours , he was held at Kitui Central Police Station trying to solve the matter.
In a morning phone call with Channel 15 News, the celebrated Mikatiko Mix Show host confirmed his arrest but we couldn’t establish whether his arrest had anything to do with the nationwide crackdown on last weeks perceived leaders of Gen Z protesters.
A follow up on the matter would reveal that the journalist was handling a personal issue with police, but a clear cut communication was not made forcing the police to force their way in his rented apartment to effect the early morning arrest. The said issue has since been settled amicably and conflicting parties made peace.
Following the morning arrest, the journalist send out alarming cryptic messages on his socials , pleading with his following to turn up at Kitui Police Station and check on him. Kamba celebrities were not left behind in voicing their support for him , sharing the same post demanding for his immediate release.
