Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of EAC , Arid and Semi-Arid Lands and Regional Development Peninah Malonza, had a rough time adressing angry mourners during the burial of celebrated Mbaitu Fm Presenter James Malombe alias “Musungu Kyumbe” who succumbed to cancer late last month.

While speaking to mourners in Chuluni, Kitui East Constituency , Malonza a fomer Deputy governor in Kitui County faced it rough after she tried to defend President William Ruto’s constant abroad trips and the rising high cost of living.

Malonza’s attempts to defend the head of state that he was adressing the high cost of living got mourners more irritated forcing her to hasten her speech as the angry crowd continued to boo and shout at her.

“The cost of living is very high, even the President understands that. That is why you see him going abroad to borrow money because we found empty coffers. But he is making sure that the cost of living will go down,” she said

She was forced to plead with the crowd to allow her to finish her speech as mourners got more agitated by her speech .

Speaking moments after the CS sat down, former Kitui governor Hon Chairity Ngilu and Kitui Central Mp Hon Makali expressed their disappointments with the rulling government, adding that President Ruto’s administration had turned Kenyans life hard , expressing their fear that school children might not go back to school due to high cost of living.
