In a shocking turn of events, Bernard Kavuli, a 24-year-old student from Muumoni, Mwingi North, who was abducted on December 22, 2024, in Ngong, has been found alive in Kitale. His safe return has brought immense relief to his family and the wider community.

Kavuli’s abduction was part of a string of mysterious kidnappings that have rocked the country over the past few weeks. Alongside him, Ronny Kiplagat and his brother Bernard Kibet, who were reportedly abducted 14 days ago, have also been found alive. Ronny, who was taken from Kabete, was found in Machakos, while Kibet remains missing.

In another update, Peter Muteti, who was abducted on December 21 at his apartment outside Nairobi, has also been released. However, the whereabouts of cartoonist Kibet Bull and Steve Mbisi remain unknown, deepening concerns about a possible organized abduction ring targeting specific individuals.

The families of the victims have expressed their gratitude to God and the authorities for their safe return but are calling for intensified efforts to locate those still missing and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Ronny Kiplangat brother to Cartoonist Kibet Bull has also been released after disappearing outside his church on 21st December. His brother is still missing, family confirms.
Kibet is among dozens of Kenyan government critics abducted in recent months

This string of abductions has raised significant alarm across the country, with citizens urging the government to address the growing insecurity. For now, the safe return of Bernard Kavuli and others provides a glimmer of hope in what has been a harrowing period for the affected families.

Channel 15 News will continue to monitor and update this story as more details emerge.
