    Makueni businessman Francis Ndolo Silia alias ‘Ndolo Wa Mauta’, was a man of the people and championed for the unity of Makueni business people , mourners attending his burial have said.

    The prominent businessman who perished on 27 May 2024 after his speeding vehicle lost brakes, ramming into a stationary trailer near Emali Town , was mourned as devoted hardworking family man, who rose from a humble background to establishing himself as a respectable businessman.

    Mauta’s wife Miriam Francis eulogized his husband as a loving family man who passionately took care of his family and throughout his life adored his two children Alan Mandela and Diana Nduku.

    “Am mourning my best friend and my husband with a heavy heart today. We have shared a lifetime reels of life together that will remain with me. I will forever cherish him and i promise to take care of our kids for them to live the life he worked hard for them every day, ” Said Miriam

    The local priest presiding the funeral service, cautioned those present on judging the death adding that , judgment belongs to God , this is after Social Media users in Makindu are said to have celebrated following the death of prominent businessman.

    Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo who was present during the funeral ceremony called on youths to use their creativity to make a gainful earning out of and not fueling rumours online warning that the law forbids publication of false information.

    “We need brilliant people to take up emerging careers in the world to represent us there. instead of writing bad things on social media, one can use the sites to learn skills helpful in this life. Instead of ruining your life or looking for publicity in the wrong place, do something that the community can see and praise you instead of soiling the names of other people,” He said

    Francis Ndolo has been laid at his home in Kiima Kiu/Kalanzoni Ward in Makueni County.

    The uprising business mogul owned and managed several petrol fuelling stations under the brand Noble Oil, located in Kasikeu, Sultan Hamud, and Salama. He was also the owners of Club Whiskey Falls in Sultan Hamud.
