Fresh controversy has emerged in the long-running dispute involving Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo Kitole after a US-based Kenyan blogger alleged that the musician paid KSh 700,000 to Stella Mengele in a bid to have a court case against him withdrawn.

In a statement shared on social media, blogger Frank Neva claimed that the alleged payment was made after Mengele reportedly agreed to withdraw the cases she had filed against the gospel artist.

According to Neva, despite the alleged payment and public statements suggesting reconciliation between the two, the matter appears to still be active in court.

“Kasolo paid Stella 700K after she promised to withdraw the cases. To date she has never withdrawn the case in court,” the blogger claimed.

Neva further questioned why the singer is reportedly expected to appear in court later this month over the same matter if the alleged agreement to withdraw the case had already been reached.

“If you agreed to be paid 700K to withdraw the case and you were paid, and you went online saying you had forgiven him and withdrawn the case, why was the case never withdrawn?” the blogger posed.

    Background of the Dispute

The dispute between Stephen Kasolo Kitole and Stella Mengele began after a series of heated online exchanges in which the gospel singer was accused of making defamatory remarks about her during live social media sessions.

The move was widely interpreted as a sign that the dispute could be resolved amicably outside court.

However, the latest claims by Frank Neva have reignited public debate about the true status of the case.
