Social media is abuzz after a viral behind-the-scenes clip surfaced showing popular Kamba gospel artist Tina Mwende Kiseve experiencing an awkward fall during a recorded Sunday gospel show on Mutongoi TV.

The clip, which has been widely shared across TikTok, Facebook, and WhatsApp groups, is believed to have been captured during the recording of the station’s gospel programme #Tuathimwe.

In the footage, the singer appears uncomfortable as she tries to reposition herself mid-interview before suddenly slipping off her seat and falling to the studio floor.

The unexpected moment briefly throws the studio into confusion. The show’s host, Veronica Syombua Willy, is seen quickly stepping in to assist the artist back to her seat as she struggles to regain composure.

During the incident, one of the singer’s white high-heeled shoes comes off, adding to the awkwardness of a moment that has since ignited online debate.

As the situation unfolds, a production assistant is inadvertently caught on camera hurriedly collecting personal items believed to belong to the singer — a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse that has fueled discussion about studio preparedness and on-set professionalism.

When the programme later aired on television, the embarrassing scene had been edited out. However, sharp-eyed viewers noticed that Tina Mwende appeared later in the show without the white heels seen in the raw footage, sparking fresh speculation and pushing the clip further into viral territory.

Responding to the growing buzz, Veronica Syombua Willy clarified that the footage circulating online was raw and unedited, explaining that it lacked lower thirds and the Mutongoi TV logo because it was never intended for broadcast. She emphasized that the show was not live and downplayed the incident, insisting that nothing serious had occurred.

Despite the clarification, the clip continues to trend, drawing mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. While some have expressed concern and sympathy for the gospel artist, others have turned the moment into memes — underscoring how quickly unscripted celebrity moments can dominate Kenya’s digital entertainment space.
