A middle-aged woman from Kilimu village in Kitui West Constituency has been killed by her husband in a shocking incident that has left Kabati Market residents in grief.

The woman, who earned her living at Kabati Market, was allegedly stabbed to death by her estranged husband. Police reports indicate that after the brutal act, the man threw her body into Kiteeti River in Kauwi Location before taking his own life just a few meters away from the scene.

Confirming the incident to Channel 14 News via phone, Kauwi Location Chief Thomas Munyao expressed sorrow over the tragedy and emphasized the need for counseling in marriages to help resolve conflicts before they turn fatal.

“This is a painful reminder of the importance of seeking help and guidance in family disputes instead of resorting to violence,” Chief Munyao stated.
