Kenya Police FC have officially stormed into the annals of Kenyan football history, lifting their maiden Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League title after a nerve-wracking 1-0 victory over Shabana FC at a fully-packed Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Knowing they only needed a draw to seal the title, the lawmen chose defiance over caution. In a match brimming with tension and tactical warfare, they secured not just the point—but the glory.

The breakthrough came in the 77th minute, when defender Brian Okoth rose like a giant from the backline and thumped home a thunderous header from a well-delivered corner—just two minutes after a game-changing triple substitution. That single moment unleashed an eruption of celebration from fans, signaling the end of a long chase for silverware.

Earlier, the clash saw moments of raw emotion and close calls. Kenya Police’s goalkeeper was booked in the 53rd minute for a handball outside the box, while Shabana FC’s frustrations boiled over in the 60th minute with a caution of their own. But the men in blue stayed focused, pushing hard and pressing with intent, narrowly missing a chance in the 59th minute before finally breaking the deadlock.

At exactly 16:55 hours, the final whistle blew—and with it, the birth of new champions. The bench cleared, the stadium roared, and history was made.

With this result, Kenya Police FC cannot be caught, regardless of their final fixture against Gor Mahia FC next Sunday.

Speaking after the match, an emotional Nyale Munga, Executive Chairman of the club and Commandant of the National Police College – Kiganjo, declared:

“This is not just a football victory—it’s a proud moment for the National Police Service, our supporters, and every officer who believes in discipline, sacrifice, and excellence.”

From an ambitious project to a powerhouse of the pitch, Kenya Police FC’s triumph is more than just a trophy—it’s a turning point
