Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has launched his political tour in Laikipia County with the opening of a new Wiper Party office in Nanyuki town, where he delivered a scathing attack on President William Ruto’s administration.

Addressing supporters, Kalonzo accused Ruto of presiding over a failing government that has subjected Kenyans to economic hardships, political repression, and failing public services.

“Kenya is in a bad state because of a destructive regime. Ruto’s Abduction Squad has abducted, kidnapped, and killed young Kenyans. Ruto has burdened Kenyans with so many unnecessary taxes that have led to company flight, record layoffs, and unemployment. He is stealing from the people of Kenya every morning and evening. His regime has ruined our education system and destroyed our healthcare system,” Kalonzo said.

The former vice president further accused the Kenya Kwanza government of capturing Parliament and compromising opposition parties and MPs, leading to a lack of accountability.
During his stopover in Karatina, Kalonzo reiterated his stance, stating that Kenyans are united in their demand for Ruto’s removal.

“Thank you, Karatina, for such a wonderful welcome. We all are in agreement that #RutoMustGo!” he said.
Kalonzo also took issue with the high cost of living, failed government projects, and the deteriorating state of public health facilities. He criticized the Social Health Authority (SHA), terming it a failed initiative riddled with corruption.

Accompanying Kalonzo on his Laikipia tour were Kathiani MP Robert Mbui, Matungulu MP Stephen Mule, Embakasi South MP Musli Mawathe, Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu, and advocate Ndegwa Njiru. A group of creative artists, including Ngaruiya Junior, Daudi wa Chris, and Charles Konde, also joined the tour.
The tour signals Kalonzo’s growing political activity as he positions himself ahead of the 2027 elections.
